This is a video nasty style cover i designed for Empire movie magazines Kim Newman’s review column ‘Video Dungeon’. It is a classic chainsaw wielding Video Nasty piece complete with generic scary house and screaming girl. The style of the ‘three’ chainsaw swipe, is a homage to the classic ‘Pranks’ cover art. The Video Dungeon title I interoperated as a film distributors logo, rather than the film title itself as I felt this would be a nice twist and allow me to emphasize the whole cheesy video nasty aesthetic more. Also massive nod to one of my personal favourite VHS distributors Hokushin.
