Private commission for a screen print collective for another Schwarzenegger classic “The Running Man”. I interpreted it more as 80s style advertisement art for the actual Running Man show rather than a film poster.

I did a lot of research into 80s network adds and TV “bumpers”, so this is VERY much in that network style of HBO, ABC etc. I battled a lot with how to execute the retro computer "graphics” effect with floating mirror panelling and light beams. I also wanted to capture the analogue style of the graphics from the old computer footage graphics, so i introduced a pixelated look which I then carried this styling over to the other elements too.

For the characters, it seemed to be an obvious move to have Arnie running out. I didn’t want to hide the muscles though so i took some liberties with the fitting of the body suit, hell its good for the ratings! Then I couldn’t have Arnie smaller than anyone else, so I brought in a second big head shot in, after all he is the “guest runner”.
