Here is my artwork for the Vinegar Syndrome release for Surf II. A crazy one for sure (and before you ask there was no Surf 1, it was just a bad joke which doesn’t really tie into the movie in any way) The film is actually very 80s Troma style with surfing zombies!

An early outing for Eric Stoltz, also a favourite 80s comedy actor of mine Tom Villard and Linda Kerridge who I also illustrated in Fade to Black!. For this one I just wanted to go all out 80s surf, punk style and it was one of those jobs where the design just flowed easily for once! I like how the white palm tree Diamond looks framing the two surfers and loved the effect of the neon surrounding lights frame the character, a touch i will have to use again in something!
