A set of 3 artworks I did for Vinegar Syndrome’s Home Made Horrors 2 box set. The films in this series felt more like a trio of American Giallo films so I ran with that as the concept and chose to do something very different in style to the first set (which was more an 80s VHS creature feature type peices).

For Hanging Heart I was going really full on pulp Giallo, with a strong graphic touch of the spiral signifying the protagonists descent into madness, with the shadowy killer in the shadows. I like how the punch colours came out and doing the central character in the blue was also fun to do. 

I also tried something different with the title treatment, again I wanted something with a strong Giallo feel and the hanging concept was good to play with for the noose.
