Artwork for the slipcover of the vinegar Syndrome 4k restoration of Fade to black! I needed to do something a bit different on this one, to match the nature and tone of the film, being more thriller than cheesy 80s slasher. I felt a classic VHS style montage piece just wouldn’t be fitting.

As the story revolves around movie-buff who transforms himself into classic film characters, to go on a killing spree. So I represented him impersonating the different characters on vintage posters, each in a different style. then i brought in and focused on Linda Kerridge the object of his obsession in the film, as the classic “damsel in distress” surrounded by all these old film posters. So the whole design became a homage to the classic film posters.
