An action/horror/suspense film which I saw as Rambo meets Friday the 13th.The Client wanted a more action-orientated vibe. So I merged the classic ‘Nam’ action vibe with a darker twist of the aging Rambo who’s gone even further over the edge giving the design on a more sombre tone.

The characters pose is very expressive i chose his arsenal as a specific homage to those 80’s films. Although he is ‘kitted’ out he’s looking downward with blacked out eye sockets, so you the sense of a darkness to the character. I then surrounded the main character with the more explanatory narrative elements, the big action explosion on one side, the dead bank robber and cash draped along the bottom. The gang is weaving there way around the edge with a tone of who’s hunting who as they seem edgy in there stances.

I then incorporated the large red skull, which ties into the plot and again helps give it a darker edge, it also works as device with which I could add a big splash of colour show the vets background, having the iconic scenes of the army patrol and helicopters.
